Mumbai, 22 July 2026: Messe Muenchen India has taken a significant step forward, expanding its corporate office in Mumbai just two years after moving in, an unmistakable reflection of its exponential growth and rising influence in the trade fair industry.
The newly expanded space was inaugurated in a vibrant ceremony led by the Chief Guest, Christoph Hallier, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mumbai, alongside children from the NGO TOUCH. The event brought together exhibitors, industry leaders, partners, stakeholders and employees, all witnessing a milestone moment in the company’s journey.
What was once envisioned as a five-year workspace solution was rapidly outpaced by extraordinary growth. In just two years, Messe Muenchen India surged beyond expectations, forcing a bold expansion to keep pace with its accelerating ambitions.
The numbers tell a powerful story. The company’s India business has more than doubled since 2023, with revenue growing by over 100% in just three years. In a remarkable feat, 2026 alone is set to generate more revenue than the company’s entire first 15 years in India combined.
This momentum is mirrored on the show floor. Exhibition space is projected to expand by more than 70% between 2023 and 2026, fuelled by surging exhibitor demand and the rapid growth of trade fairs across multiple industries.
Today, Messe Muenchen India commands a dynamic portfolio of 28 trade fairs spanning electronics, construction and infrastructure, environmental technologies, transport and logistics, laboratory technology, agriculture, laser and photonics, and energy. Its workforce has grown by over 40%, reflecting the scale and intensity of its expanding operations.
The expanded workspace has been designed as a high-energy hub for innovation and collaboration. Featuring flexible work zones, dynamic breakout areas, hybrid meeting spaces and a dedicated L&D Hub, it empowers teams to perform at their peak. An immersive experience room brings the excitement of trade fairs directly into the office, while upgraded dining, pantry and recreation areas create a vibrant environment that fuels creativity and connection.
The expansion reflects Messe Muenchen India’s sustained business growth and its evolving role in the trade fair industry. The strengthened infrastructure and workplace capabilities will support its teams in delivering greater value to exhibitors, visitors, partners and stakeholders, while preparing the organisation for its next phase of growth. This development reflects the shared vision of Bhupinder Singh, President – IMEA, Messe München and CEO, Messe Muenchen India, and the company’s leadership team, who see continued investment, collaboration and innovation as central to the organisation’s long-term growth and leadership in the global trade fair industry.
