Christine Heizmann takes over overall responsibility for Messe München's locations business

November 3, 2025

From January 1, 2026, Christine Heizmann will be responsible for all guest events and congresses at the four event locations as Senior Director Guest Events & Locations at Messe München.

The guest event business is an important part of Messe München. Around 93 guest events took place at Messe München last year. The Messe München locations ICM (International Congress Center Messe München), CCN (Conference Center North), MOC (Event Center Messe München) and the Trade Fair Center, combined with the economic appeal of the city of Munich, are a central attraction for companies and event organizers worldwide and contribute significantly to Munich's positioning as a first-class event location.

Christine Heizmann has been with Messe München since September 1999 and, as Director of Events, has been responsible for all events at the MOC since 2008. In her new position, she will have overall responsibility for all locations, succeeding Nicola Hamann, who has held the position since January 2025. Christine Heizmann is already Nicola Hamann's deputy.

Hamann is leaving the company at the end of the year at her own request and will return to her former residence in the UK for personal reasons. “It has been a great pleasure to lead Messe München's guest event business and to work with the entire trade fair team. I am proud of the progress we have made in such a short time and am delighted that Christine Heizmann, with her expertise and passion for events, will successfully continue and further develop the course we have set together.”

Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer and Stefan Rummel, the two CEOs of Messe München: "We regret Nicola Hamann's decision, as she has laid important organizational groundwork for the further growth of the guest event and congress business in recent months. We would like to thank her very much for this and wish her all the best for the future. At the same time, we are delighted that Christine Heizmann will be taking over in the new year. With her many years of experience in event management, her outstanding professional and personal skills, and her convincing leadership style, Christine Heizmann is an excellent fit for the position of Director Guest Events & Locations."

Christine Heizmann: “I am very much looking forward to the new challenge. Customer and service orientation are particularly important to the Guest Events & Locations team. We create a tailor-made experience in Munich for each of our national and international customers in the trade fair, congress, event, and corporate sectors.”

From January 1, 2026, Christine Heizmann will report to Business Unit Manager Falk Senger, who in turn reports to Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer.
