Christian Grodau heads the new Operations Department at Messe München

The areas of IT and Trade Fair Services have been be merged in the new department

Messe München has combined its Trade Fair Services and IT departments to form the new Operations Department. On August 1, 2023, Christian Grodau assumed the new position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the new Operations Department. In this role, he will oversee both IT and Trade Fair Services and will focus in particular on the operational business. Christian Grodau had been the Head of IT/CIO at Messe München since February 1, 2016.

The trade fair company decided to concentrate IT and Trade Fair Services in the same department in response to the rapidly changing needs of customers and exhibitors. As a result of the merger, Messe München can become even more customer centric. The synergies of IT and Trade Fair Services can now focus more closely on the strategic goal of fueling profitable growth in Messe München’s core business.
